Dear Friends,

Thanks again for dropping by to visit our website!

Last month has been a fun one as Chrissy and I learn more about each other. It's amazing to realise that next month will mark a year since Chrissy and her mum have been living in the UK. I think they'd agree that it has been a fun year but I am sure as they experience everything a second time around it will be much easier to deal with life in England and all the differences it has from life in Colorado Springs!

In the same way that a year's experience in a different country helps make living easier, a year of training together has made a difference to us as a skating team. We are now starting to gel more as a skating partnership and move together more as a unit. Over the last month we have had some real "lightbulb" lessons with our coach Jimmy and as a result we feel we have made significant strides. We are both looking forward to improving more before the Lake Placid competition and showing our passion for skating!

Whilst we have been busy on ice we continue to keep busy outwith our training. Chrissy is coming to the end of her school year. Consequently she has a barrage of essays and presentations to prepare so we will both be glad to have more training and free time when that is completed. Chrissy's looking forward to watching movies and not having to think about the significance they have on performing arts in the 20th century!;-)

I have been enjoying my coaching work and last Sunday I went to a solo dance competition in North Wales with two of my students; Lucy and Isobel. Both girls did extremely well and Isobel won her event out of 20 competitors. I really enjoy working with both girls and it was a delight to see them strutting their stuff in performance! You can check out a picture of Isobel and me in our gallery.

I hope that this journal entry finds you well and looking forward to the summer. I definitely appreciate that extra daylight, it makes waking at 4:30 a lot easier!

Cheers,

Mark
