Hello!

It’s been a busy month, so it’s hard to know where to begin. Competitions, college term beginning, and organizing my downtown/City Centre Sheffield apartment have been exciting, as well as tiring!

As you know, Mark and I competed at the Sheffield IJS competition this past month. It was such a joy for us to perform in front of all our friends and supporters at our home rink in Sheffield! We skated well in all the sections of the competition. We won the OD and ended up 2nd overall in the competition. We’re already very excited to compete in Sheffield again at the British Championships!

I’ve re-enrolled at college this month, as well. After the 4-month summer break, I’m eager to begin again! Mark and I are so happy with the schedule this year, as we are able to train at the times we normally do with the exception of Fridays when we start a little earlier. I have more practical courses this year as well, so the acting will transfer even more into my skating. It’s hard to believe I’m in my 2nd year, and I’ll graduate with my BA in 2009!!! I really feel settled in England, although I do miss my family very much. I’m so thankful for technology and cheap international calling!!!

This week the John Lewis department store is holding a fashion show at iceSheffield, and Mark and I are performing and modelling in it. I’ve also been asked to do a solo number to “Glamorous” in lingerie! ;) It’s been fun choreographing our numbers after the competition, and now we’ve begun our intensive training again.

We’re looking forward to a month of hard work before competing again! I’m sure there will be more news when Mark next updates you.
